Digital Analyst   - Hobbycraft Head Office, BH23 6HG

Salary up to £50,000/year dependent on experience - pension with a 4% contribution, 25 days holiday increasing every year, 25% discount in our stores

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 10am to 3pm with a flexible approach to start and finish times.

Our hybrid working model is 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

 

Position            Digital Analyst

 

Job summary/purpose

As an experienced Digital Analyst with a customer-first mindset, you will be an influential storyteller that can translate data into clear, commercial, and actionable insights that empower the wider team and play a key role in optimising Hobbycraft’s digital channels.

 

Responsibilities 

Performance Reporting

  • Accountable for tracking site and app CVR alongside the contributing funnel metrics.
  • Interpret data to provide commentary on site and app performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Build and maintain the full suite of ecommerce Looker Studio reports to track the conversion funnels, key customer journeys and asset interaction to surface insights that inform merchandising decisions.
  • Track all metrics by traffic source to gain a full understanding of how off-site traffic impacts on site metrics.
  • Support the Digital Marketing and Finance teams with forecasting targets by channel.

Product Development

  • Utilise Contentsquare and GA4 to deliver deep dive analysis across both site and app, highlighting friction points and making recommendations to optimise.
  • Play a key part in the Digital Product team by providing insights to support the roadmap, prioritisation and continuous improvement.
  • Track performance of all continuous improvement changes and the value they have delivered.
  • Provide analysis for A/B testing by identifying key metrics, presenting end of test reports to the wider team to illustrate the key changes to customer journeys and making recommendations for next steps.
  • Play a key role in developing new hypothesis based upon blended data insights, used to gain an understanding of why customers may be behaving a certain way.

Trading & Merchandising

  • Work collaboratively with the Digital Trading & Merchandising team by reporting on content placement, promotional journeys and campaigns, suggesting recommendations for optimisation.
  • Encourage the merchandising team to explore opportunities based on data findings.

Systems

  • Accountable for GA4 and GTM data integrity and accuracy, working with our support agency to ensure the tagging is correct and fit for purpose.
  • Own the relationship with Contentsquare, ensuring the wider team are making the most of the tool via training and ad hoc demos.

Specific skills

  • Super user of Contentsquare, GA4 and Looker Studio.
  • Preferable experience of digital experimentation tools such as Optimizely.
  • Understanding of tag management and data integrity.
  • Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) including personalisation and AI.
  • Experience of creating and presenting analytics reports to key stakeholders in a visually impactful way.
  • Experience of blending data based on customer behaviour with commercial context to tell clear, engaging stories.
