Commercial Finance Manager - Hobbycraft Head Office, BH23 6HG

Salary £50-£55k dependent on experience - Pension with a 4% contribution, 25 days holiday increasing every year, 25% discount in our stores

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 10am to 3pm with a flexible approach to start and finish times

Our hybrid working model is 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

The Commercial Finance Manager has responsibility for providing commercial insight and reporting to the Commercial & Buying Teams to support future trading decisions. Where appropriate and relevant, the role will also lead key strategic projects where overall business oversight and understanding are key skillset requirements. Across both elements of the role, they will act as a key member of the Finance Team, driving improvements in the quality, timeliness and insight provided from monthly management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Stock reporting and oversight

Additional Responsibilities

Qualifications, training / experience

Graduate calibre with an Accountancy qualification.
Business partnering experience essential, retail exposure desirable but not essential.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel. Experience of data analysis tools (Targit) would be beneficial.
Experience of working effectively in high quality “blue chip” environments and ability to operate strategically as well as in a “hands on” way on a day-to-day basis.
Proven track record of achievement and delivery. Must be someone who is driven by results, commercially successful and experienced in contributing through collaboration with all other functions, with the aim of continuously improving performance.
